Medical Expenses for the Pratts

Phillips was diagnosed with a  rare liver tumor at St Jude Children's Research Hospital on October 9th, his 14th birthday. Unfortunately, his extremely rare form of cancer required a liver transplant and as fortunate as we are to have St. Jude in Memphis, they don't do transplants.

Phillips was referred by the doctors at St. Jude to Boston Children's Hospital. After several trips to Boston for work ups and a biopsy, Phillips received the gift of life from his cousin on December 22nd.  His liver transplant was a success!!! Both Phillips and his cousin, the donor, are doing well and are on the path to recovery!

Both Benton and Leigh have had to put their jobs on hold to focus on Phillips's illness, surgeries and recovery. Benton has returned to work, but Leigh has had to take an extended leave of absence from her job so that she can be at Phillips's side.

The Pratt family is fortunate to have insurance, but with deductibles, flights, hotel rooms and the staggering cost of medicine, their out of pocket expenses have been tremendous.

If you are lucky enough to know Phillips, Leigh, Benton or Charles, you know they would each give you the shirt off their own back in order to help you. They are an incredible family, full of love and kindness.

We started this GoFundMe page in order to help pay for some of of their current expenses and let them know that we are all in this together!
