Medical expenses for simple comfort

Mostly all of legal career was spent defending the indigent.  I did not anticipate ANOTHER visitation from Mr. Cancer.  So I have MBC ( Metastatic Breast Cancer) and this event, Number 5 on the counting scale, it landed in my lower back.  I did the radiation again and am on the medication to shrink the tumors and the oncologist says that as far as the disease is concerned I am doing well.  BUT I need some medical devices so I can"rest comfortably".    I managed to get the rolly walker and a cane but I need an adjustable bed or at minimum the adjustable base.   The medications I am on and the miserable pain  prevent me from being able to go back to work.  So I am in a bind, so to speak.  Please help if you can.
