I am Mary Kay Hamilton Guillaume - sister of Just People client, Peter Hamilton.
Pete's Case Manager since arriving at Just People in 2007 is Mr. Ralph Gorins.
As many of you may be aware, Ralph has survived prostate cancer however, he has been recently diagnosed with Stage Four throat cancer....
Beginning January 5, Ralph will undergo eight weeks of intensive and urgent chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Ralph sister (she is unable to drive) and son will be arriving Atlanta, mid-January. Ralph will require 24-hour care during his treatment - his physicians are very optimistic of Ralph's recovery as they are experts in treating advanced cases. Following successful treatment, Ralph will resume work at Just People in April. Until then, not only will Ralph face the serious nature of enduring the treatments but the staggering financial burden to fight his disease as well. Just People has provided excellent medical insurance although Ralph must shoulder the unanticipated $2000.00 insurance deductible for 2017 and 2018. Likewise, doctor visit co-pays and on-going household bills in the midst of lost wages etc. Certainly, you can imagine the overwhelming worry.....
