Hello friends and family. I am calling on all prayer warriors.
As most of you know, I was diagnosed with kidney cancer that had moved up the artery towards my heart 6 years and 2 months ago and I was given less than a year to live without surgery. With surgery, Dr. said he “could buy me 3, 5, up to 8 years of a fairly productive life”. Well, I have had 6 years of a great life and would like many more! I chose to do natural healing as I did not have a peace about surgery. It’s been a wonderful and sometimes hard journey that has made me grow incredibly. I am thankful for the growth and would not change my decision if I could go back. Two months ago I learned that the cancer had metastasized to my right lung. I was very shocked as the tumor had not grown in the five years that I had been checking it. I began a new natural therapy and believe fully in it, but the tumor is pressing on things that are causing me pain now. I never felt any pain at all until very recently and that itself is a miracle. I’ve been told that many people with a condition such as mine are in bad pain from the very beginning. Monday, I was told that pain management and surgery are my options at this time. My body is stronger and prepared and I am at peace with having surgery now. Tomorrow morning,12/24, is the big day. I will be having my right kidney and full tumor into my heart area removed at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Surgery is scheduled for 7am and expected to last around five hours and there will be two surgeons working on me...one surgeon for the kidney and one for the heart area. Dr said I’ll be in the hospital for around 5 days then at least 1-2 months to heal. I’m nervous even though I know not to be. I know God has me wrapped in his arms! This is a big step and a mental challenge for me as I have been very determined to heal naturally. I believe in natural healing, I just didn’t find what was needed to heal that stubborn tumor that has been in me for who knows how long. As for the lung, Dr. said chemo and radiation are the next step once I heal from surgery. I am praying and believing that the other natural therapy I have started will heal the lung before the time comes for those treatments.
I wanted to tell details so you all understand the circumstance and so you know what to pray for. I ask that you also pray for Sidnie and Lagen. As expected, they are concerned a about their momma and cannot be with me at the hospital due to Covid restrictions. I love you and thank you in advance for covering me and my loved ones in prayer.
