Medical Expenses for Lakendra Wade - Burgess

Hello Friends, 

Lakendra Wade-Burgess is a devoted Mother, Daughter, Grand-Daughter and Niece.

On January 28, 2020 Lakendra was brutally gunned down in Memphis, Tennessee while completing her normal day to day activities. The lives of her family, were changed upon learning the news of this devastating tragedy from local law enforcement, after her case was aired on local news outlets.

This was due to the person committing the crime, taking her identification and leaving her on the side of the road to die from a gunshot injury to the head. Fortunately, by the grace of God, a Good Samaritan came to her aid and rushed her to the hospital. 

It was weeks later that her family would finally learn of this saddening news in California, but not before a viewer of the local news channel called local law enforcement officials to verify her through watching the local news. 

To date (February 24, 2020), Lakendra’s life hangs in the balance as doctors and nurses try every angle to remedy this situation and aid Lakendra in this battle. There have been multiple surgeries to relieve pressure on the brain as well as other complications with this injury. Further, through prayers, Lakendra has stretched beyond her ability in making major improvements by responding to some commands. 

Any financial help is appreciated during this time of trial. Funds will be designated to her immediate care and excess funds will be provided for burial expenses, should Lakendra be called home to be with the Lord.
