Medical Expenses for Justin Weber

On Tuesday, March 13th my brother Justin was involved in an almost fatal motor vehicle accident on his way to work. He suffered serious injuries, some of which include a fractured C2 vertebrae (neck), fractured cricoid, fractured larynx and fractured hyoid. All of these structures are located in his neck which have left him in very critical condition in Trauma ICU with a tracheotomy. We are waiting for them to apply traction to his neck in hopes that after 3-4 months, the C2 will heal on it’s own. If it does not work, he will have to undergo very extensive and risky neck surgery. All other injuries will have to heal on their own, which will take several months. They said we will find out only in time, if his voice will be affected permanently.  They have told Justin and my family that he is looking at 6 months to a year on recovery and rehab, if all goes well.

Justin is a single father, who is one of the hardest working men I know and loves his children more than anything in this world. He is also the baby in our family and this has completely turned our lives upside down but we are just so thankful he is still here with us. God was definitely watching over him and that is without a doubt. My parents have moved out of their home and into his until he is well and we are no longer needed in his care.
