My name is Shakira Alba. I am the niece of Jaqueline Sanchez (Lebron). Today, August 14th, I received a call from my dear aunt from her hospital bed and was able to translate for her what happened and what procedures they have done to her, also what she needs to do going forward (5 different therapists: speech, movement, etc.). In short, she had neurological problems caused by stress. On Monday the 11th, she was scheduled for an appointment for an upcoming surgery and she started to feel sick. Her son had to call the ambulance since she collapsed. Shortly after, she collapsed once again and the doctors had no clue what was happening. Various tests later, they still don’t know but told her it was caused by neurological stress which affected her speech, movement, and other functions. Her only question to the doctors was, can I go back to work to be able to afford medications and treatments other than home expenses? The doctors' response was, sorry I couldn’t clear you, you will have to visit your primary care physician. We understand that we are all going through tough times but grain by grain we can help her out. Thank you so much.
