Gloria Garrett, neighborhood stalwart and manager of the Palisades Farmers Market since 2012, needs our support! She has recently been diagnosed with a threatening liver ailment and lacks adequate health insurance. This is serious and she needs our help and care. Her financial and medical situation is dire.
A steadfast and true Palisades neighbor, she has done everything from overseeing the annual Fourth of July picnic preparations to supporting our schools. Most of all, under her leadership the Palisades Farmers Market has blossomed into one of the best markets in the DC area, and an important forum for our community. Our vendors are unmatched, she has built strong links with the Farm to Table movement, and thanks to Gloria, we have turned the Farmers Market into a beacon for the Palisades neighborhood.
She urgently needs our help, and regularly requires procedures at Sibley to address her condition. Please contribute! And please forward this appeal to other supporters and fans. Gloria needs our help and this help is needed now.
