Medical Expenses For Dulce The Dachshund

This is our loving pet Dulce. She’s not just a pet to us she’s one of our family members. She’s a great, sweet, loving, active, and most intelligent. Sadly yesterday morning we woke up just to find her half paralyzed. Her two back legs and tail are completely limp and she doesn’t have sensation either. This was very hard to discover because the night before she was perfectly fine and being very happy like always. She’s always been very active and loved going on hikes and running on the grass. Just seeing her try to walk towards us was just heartbreaking. She would just drag her two back legs while she walks with the front two legs. We were able to take her to the animal hospital and they finally told us that she was Stage 5 IVDD. Which means intervertebral discs between a dog’s spinal vertebrae bulge or burst. Bulging or bursting intervertebral discs can enter the spinal cord space and put pressure on spinal nerves. That’s the reason why she’s paralyzed. Right now she needs two steroid injections as her first attempt to recovery along with X-rays and more visits to the doctor. Please we ask for your help to make her walk once more. For those of you who know her know that she’s a very loving dog and very active. Please help with anything that your heart can give is a blessing for our family and for Dulce. Thank you!
