Medical Expenses for Don Walker

Our dad, Don Walker, has recently been in and out of the hospital dealing with issues that have been in place for a while. On top of the heart issues, he was recently diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. This makes it hard for him to breath even while doing basic tasks such as walking and going up a flight of stairs. Due to this ailment, retaining fluid has been the biggest battle. In his recent stays, trying to figure out how to get excess fluid out of him has been nothing short of a daunting task. Finally, a solution was discovered, and conditions for Don got better and he has been out of the hospital and back at work.

Dad, along with our mom, Jackie, moved back to Austin after a year and a half long stay in Memphis teaching at the Memphis School of Preaching. He is now the director of the Southwest School of Bible Studies. 

With this move, they are paying double house payments, utilities and upkeep since July 2017. It alone has been a struggle with the double set of bills, but now medical bills are mounting do to out of network doctors taking care of him and Insurance denying needed procedures.  This leaves a majority of payments being made out of pocket by the Walker's. 

As their family, we know how much Don and Jackie mean to their friends and the brotherhood. They are the first to offer help, without question, to help lighten someone else's load and worries. 

We, the family, want to do everything in our power to help uplift them and ease some of the burden these past few months have been on them. 

We are asking for donations for the Walker's to help with their medical bills. Any amount helps as well as continued prayers for Brother Walker to stay on the healing path. We appreciate you all, and thank you for taking the time to read this and in your considering to help.
