MEDICAL EXPENSES FOR CO-WORKER

One of my Co-worker's 17 month old little girl Charlize Bailey caught the Roseola over a month and a half ago and somehow it got to her brain.   She was transported to Children's Hospital in DC from Fairfax Hospital.  She was in a coma for a few weeks.  She is out of a coma and the doctors have been able to get rid of the virus, but she now has brain damage from the result of the virus.  Here is what can happen if the baby has a low immune system.

"Concerns for people with weak immune systems
Roseola is of greater concern in people whose immune systems are compromised, such as those who have recently received a bone marrow or organ transplant. They may contract a new case of roseola — or a previous infection may come back while their immune system is weakened. Because they have less resistance to viruses in general, immune-compromised people tend to develop more-severe cases of infection and have a harder time fighting off illness.

People with weak immune systems who contract roseola may experience potentially serious complications from the infection, such as pneumonia or encephalitis — a potentially life-threatening inflammation of the brain."

This virus did get into Charlize Bailey's blood stream and to her brain.  She is now blind, no motor skills and not eating on her own.  Charlize Bailey is basically back to being a new born baby.  She will have a long road ahead of her and we hope and pray that she keeps fighting and has a full recovery.  But in the meantime a few of us at work are trying to do this Go Fund Me page for our co-worker, so that he can be with his little girl and wife.  We are trying to help raise funds for little Charlize Bailey's medical care and rehabilitation.  Please if you can help out in anyway would be greatly appreciated.  I will be providing a picture of Charlize Bailey before she got hospitalized with the Roseola virus.  Please send your donations and prayers  for little Charlize Bailey.  Sincerely Jen and his co-workers.
