Medical Expenses for Baby Maddox

On Tuesday November 28th Katelynn rushed Maddox to Texas Children's due to his neck being swollen, the doctors had no answers for her at that time. They were transferred to the ICU on early November 29th from the woodlands to Katy Texas Children's via ambulance. This has by far been the toughest things they have ever gone through. It kills me to watch her baby in pain and that nobody can’t take it away. Maddox has an infection in his neck and it came out of nowhere. He is on antibiotics to fight it and hopefully bring the swelling down but that’s all we know for now. He had to have surgery to drain the infection as it was pushing on a main artery that provides blood flow to the brain and his heart rate was dropping and the doctors found bacteria in his blood. Before he got out of ICU he had to go back under anesthesia to insert a PIC line. The surgery was successful and it is no longer pushing on the main artery! Although he now is out of the ICU, he is still in the hospital trying to fight the infection still and they are expecting to be there at least another week or more depending on how he responds. He is very fussy and very uncomfortable! After they return home they will have to give him antibiotics through his PIC line (long term IV).Katelynn has not been able to go to work as she has been at the hospital with her sweet baby, and the medical bills are stacking up! With Christmas around the corner they need all the help they can get right now! With her permission I have asked her to start a go fund me account to help her and Josh financially! These two parents are some of the best people and parents I know and they have been a big part of my family and have always been there for my daughters and I when I needed them! So I am asking please help with what you can and please please keep him and the family in your prayers!
