Baby Emmett's Story:On Oct. 31st this past year, we were overjoyed to find out that we were expecting our first child. Unfortunately, we found out around 12 weeks that our baby had multiple issues. As time has progressed, we have found that our little baby boy, who we named Emmett Lee Dixon, has several heart defects. These defects include a complete heart block, Heterotaxy syndrome and atrioventricular septal defect, which resulted in hydrops (fluid accumulating within the body signaling heart failure). It has been a hard and heartbreaking time. Emmett is currently at 26 weeks gestation. Thank you to anyone who joins us in our journey. Prayers are more than welcome. We hope and pray daily for a miracle, but above all we want to see God’s will done and know he has all 3 of us in his hands.

Any donations to help this family with medical expenses would be greatly appreciated. They are attending weekly doctor appointments and ultrasounds in addition to visiting Vanderbilt monthly, so medical expenses are beginning to add up.
We are so thankful and overwhelmed by the thoughts and prayers pouring out for Mary, Lee, and baby Emmett. The Lord is sustaining this baby boy.
