Medical expense for hip replacement

We are raising money to help my mother, Michelle Favre, get hip surgery.

Michelle Favre has led an eventful life to say the least. An Army veteran and single mother of two, her tenacity and passion know no bounds. She has always been a southern girl and has spent most of her life in the gulf coast states. In 2005, Hurricane Katrina devasted the gulf states and Michelle’s house was not immune. Decades of memories vanished in the blink of an eye. The months following the storm were spent in a FEMA trailer as she tried to rebuild her life. Ultimately, she decided that following such a hardship, a drastic change was needed. She loaded up what she had left and with her two dogs moved to the remote village of Ruidoso, NM. Michelle thought she was done with the hard times but, as it turns out, the hard times were notdone with her. As her ability to walk slowly diminished and daily tasks became more difficult to complete, she sought medical care. She was diagnosed with Femoroacetabularimpingement, more commonly known as hip impingement. This causes her femur to rub against the bone in her hip socket and besides the immense discomfort can ultimately lead to osteoarthritis. She had recently delayed surgery so that she could share in the joy of the Mother/Son dance at her only son’s wedding but now is ready to get her life back on track. Besides the actual cost of surgery, she will be unable to work and as we all know life and bills stop for no one. We are trying to raise $5500 to cover the surgery and ease her financial stresses until she can resume work.
