Medical Expense Assistance for Joni

I know this is the first time many of you are hearing about this, and for that I apologize. This event has come on somewhat suddenly for Joni and her family.
Joni has been feeling ill for a while now, and ended up having a large abdominal mass show up on CT last week. She has been schedule for surgery the first week of October, and is working on trying to navigate the waters of a whirlwind change in health status.
Joni has always been one of those people that will throw on a pot of tea or coffee, cook up a hot meal for a hungry friend, or drop everything to be there when one needs it. She and Mandy have spent the past couple winters delivering hot meals and warm clothes to the homeless in our community, with the help of their congregation’s youth group, church, and donations.
Now, I ask that we all do what we can to help support her as best as we can; whether that is through donation to this fund, meal-prep for her recovery, or simply just being a friend that can come spend time with her and love on the cats.
Her deductible is about $7,200, and her ‘Bubbs,’ Shaun, is still in London. I’m hopeful we can all give a little something in order to help alleviate the cost of her medical expenses and maybe throw some towards travel expenses to get Shaun back to AK in order to help Joni during her recovery from surgery.
