Medical Expences for Farouq Faizy

Farouq Faizy is a local reporter based in Herat, Afghanistan. He is married and has been living happily with his two kids, his mom and his wife. Unfortunately, two years ago he was diagnosed with cancer and was taken twice to India and Pakistan for treatment.

He has been under treatment for more than a year now. I as his close friend and those who are close to him can testify that he is the only breadwinner of his family. He lost his father when he was a child. His mother went through many hardships to send him to school and bring him up the wonderful human being he is today.

With him being sick, His family “Mother, wife and two kids” are living a very tough life. His household has spent all their savings to pay for his treatment. He has even sold his family farmland to pay for the medical expenses so far.  We believe he has done a lot for the Afghan press and community as a whole and we should lend him a helping hand in these tough times.
