Medical Expense-Spine Head Injury-Sage Judi Ragasa
Hi, my name is Suzanne Edwards and I
am launching a fundraiser for one of my
dearest and longtime girlfriend,
Judi Ragasa aka Sage Ragasa who lives
in Gainesville, Florida. We spent many
years in Los Angeles where she was a
hairstylist in the entertainment industry
and raised her two little girls, Koral Joy
and Aja Maille and their dad John
She moved back to Gainesville,
Florida with her girls where she has also worked as a hairstylist for the
past twelve years; never one to stop
growing, she also went back to junior
college and achieved her associates
degree.
11/30/2020 Accident - Spinal Injury/
Head Injury/Brain Bleed/Internal
Bleeding
Judi is an avid biker and bikes to work
etc. and keeps her youthful 63 year old
body in shape by riding all over
Gainsville. Last night she was riding
home and was hit by a moving vehicle near the Kohl’s in Gainesville. She
sustained a concussion with a brain
bleed, pelvic internal bleeding and
shattered spine. She underwent surgery
last night to search for and try to stop
the internal bleeding.
While we wait for her prognosis, and
count our blessings she is alive, it is
clear she will not be going back to work
for the foreseeable future and
unfortunately does not have health
insurance and like many at this time was already just barely scraping by as Covid-19 has made seeing hair clients next to
impossible.
Her eldest but “young” daughter, Koral
Joy, also a hairstylist is shouldering the
responsibility of handling all things
related to her mum’s care, rent,
aftercare, and sustenance. I am in
Portland, Oregon and am supporting as
best as I can from a distance.
It is my prayer that I can help her on her
road to recovery and her girls by
launching this fundraiser to help with
what will most certainly be a challenging road ahead. I am humbly asking and would be so very grateful for any donation
you may offer no matter how great or
small to reach our goal to help Judi and
her family through this very
difficult time.
Thank you so much, and just know we
will also keep you and your families
in our prayers and keep you informed of Judi’s/Sage’s progress.
Be well.
Peace and blessings,
Suzanne Edwards
