Medical Emergency for Tony and Justin

Hi this is Val O. and I’m creating a fundraiser for my longtime friend Tony Saunders. Many of you know Tony and have spent time with him in Napa or Graniteville over the years. Tony has the biggest heart and he is usually the caregiver, taking care of everyone else and putting everyone else’s needs before his own. After several years of dealing with some truly difficult personal health crises, my friend and his partner Justin are going through a huge health emergency. Justin is experiencing an aggressive form of melanoma cancer and must undergo surgery at UC Davis medical center this week. Unfortunately their health insurance will not cover many of the expenses and they are having to stay full time in Sacramento through all of the appointments, surgery and recovery, which could be a substantial number of days or even weeks. With the freezing weather and snow, it is impossible for them to drive back-and-forth to Graniteville, which is very remote and rough Country and they are currently snowed out. At the time of my setting up this fundraiser they were sleeping in their jeep at UC Davis waiting for the surgery and treatment to follow. It is unacceptable that they would have to  suffer through these harsh conditions while waiting for critical care. This Christmas I would like to help Tony and Justin and their two beautiful dogs that need to be cared for, while they are going through this health trauma. I am praying for a positive outcome from this treatment and I hope you will consider a small donation to help them get through this. Anything helps!
