Medical Deductible & Medical Bills

UPDATE 1/13/20:
Lyon had another procedure yesterday in the Interventional Radiology department  where his drain was maneuvered to allow for more of the abscess to flow as well as a fistula gram. As much as we were praying/ hoping and manifesting  for optimistic news, sometimes life has other plans.

Lyon was told by his doctor that they have exhausted every effort to heal and stop this vicious cycle. These fistulas and abscesses have been relentlessly happening for 18 months now.

Lyon received this discouraging news alone in the hospital. Due to the Covid spike in LA, this entire stay for him has been in isolation which has been heart wrenching for all of us. Thank God for FaceTime and his plaza clearance where we have been able to occasionally sneak in and see him downstairs.

His IR doctor has requested a new set of eyes to come in and evaluate his situation. He was referred to as an old school doctor who is known as wizard. We welcome his wizardly eyes with renewed hope!

Danica has reached out to the Optimal Health Institute, in San Diego, where he has gone twice before.

He will be coming home in the next day or two, with a “permanent drain”  until there is another option.

Lyons spirit is that of another world. He has shined so bright since the day he was born. Soaking in every second of life his sweet soul has been able to take in. Still.... from his hospital bed, he continues to teach and inspire us all. His dreams have not strayed and we believe he will continue to check off “Bucket List” items.

Please continue to hold space for his heart and soul and visualize optimal health for him.

OLDER NEWS:
Lyon has been living by the #PMA slogan for years. Sitting in hospitals and not knowing the outcome but always keeping a Positive Mental Attitude.

Today, Lyon lives with 12 active tumors and 1 that is life threatening. In February 2018, his life-threatening tumor was deemed inoperable since it’s weaved itself through his small intestine and around his mesenteric artery.

This tumor poses a particularly difficult challenge for Lyon as it is extremely non receptive to chemo or immunotherapy. Lyon and his family are looking for alternative treatments and trials to address this tumor head on, but since February 2018 the tumor has created a perforation in his small intestine causing him to go into septic shock multiple times.

Lyon is unable to work right now, and with last years medical bills piling up and this years insurance deductible needing to be met, we are asking for any help with this financial burden. Even the smallest donation means the world. Thank you.
