Medical Costs Assistance for Michelle Nagy

First, let me preface this with the fact that Vince and I are very proud and do not like asking for help.  That being said, my situation has become such that I do indeed need to now ask for help.  In November of 2019, I began experiencing some leg weakness.  Starting in February of 2020, I began falling and spraining my ankles.  In July 2020, after my 11th fall, I ended up in the hospital and was then sent to a skilled nursing facility for rehab for almost two months.  Our insurance covered all but 27 days before I was forced to request to be discharged as I had incurred a bill of over $9,000.00 for those 27 days.  I am currently staying at Vince’s parents in a hospital bed with assistance from home health.

The only test I have been able to complete so far shows that I have severe neuropathy and nerve damage in my legs.  I have been unsuccessful in getting back on the medical table for further tests and then hopefully a diagnosis and treatment plan due to my inability to stand on my own.  It is unknown at this time if this is a permanent disability or if I will ever walk again.

As I am not working and Vince is working full time and taking care of me, the house and everything else, we do not have the money topay the bill to the skilled nursing home.  Once paid, any other donations will be used for general needs for me, such as adult briefs, wipes, food and hopefully some additional caregivers to relieve some of the pressure on Vince and his family to take care of me while I remain bed bound.
