Medical Cost for JC Demonstrer Hit By Car

Last night, a protester and photographer was violently and deliberately hit by a car while crossing a high-trafficked crosswalk with large blinking Yield for Pedestrian signs. His leg was broken. 

We are raising money to make sure all of his medical costs will be covered. We are not sure how much his medical bills are, but are setting the preliminary goal to $5,000.

I am a member of the New Panthers Initiative, the organization that held the protest, and I will ensure all proceeds go to the injured protester's medical bills. If we end up raising more than necessary, I will be in communication with donors about whether we return additional funds or donate them to a local organization supporting the BLM movement.
