Medical Care for Honduran Pastor

Donation protected
Very urgent need !! Toni is a dedicated servant for God.  He is 73 and has served the church in Honduras since his baptism as a  very young man.  He always gives even when he has little to give.  He had colon cancer in 2013 and had to undergo several operations - 2 in Honduras where he almost died.  But for the grace of God and the charity of St Catherine's hospital he came to USA and had his 3rd surgery and had done well.  Sadly during the treatment/surgeries for the cancer he lost his job and has not been able to find another.  He has a wife and 2 teen boys to support.
In the last 4 months he has had terrible recurring abdominal pain, and has lost 40-50 pounds.  He needs to return here to his surgeon for evaluation.  Again, St Catherines is donating all but $500 of his hospital care but there are the other expenses of medications, room, travel, food, etc... His evaluatins will include mutiple tests some in-hospital but others not as an inpatient - laboratory, radiographic studies, colonoscopy, EGD, hospitalization with fluids and possible surgery.   During these evaluations and any post-hospital care  -if no surgery - will be at least 4 weeks and maybe 6 or more  weeks with surgery (estimating $4000 - $6000).  He would need to demonstrate that he can eat and gain weight before it would be safe to return home.
We are also asking for help with the other various illness related expenses in Honduras estimated $2000 ( medicines, doctor visits, transportation-he is 2 hours from the airport and almost 2 hours from health care, labs, xrays...)  He is having to receive fluids in his veins almost daily now, is not able to hardly eat and continues to have watery diarrhea.
The most direct flight to Kansas is through Houston but now that has been a problem.  The other airlines have full day layovers and in his condition this is not a good option.
His flight ($1500) has now been canceled twice for Houston's weather.

Please help do what you can.
I am a volunteer in Honduras and lived a year with this lovely Christian man and his family in 1976.  He opened his home to me and shared with me though he had little enough for his family.  We reestablished contact in 2001 and I have been volunteering there every 6 month since. Since his cancer I have been regularly helping in his support.
