Baby Logan was born about 5 months ago. During his short life, he has been everything Brian and Jen (dad and mom) have ever dreamed of, a healthy, chubby little ball of fun. If any of you know the father, you know the apple didn't fall far...
About 5 weeks ago Logan was having trouble breathing, so mom and dad took him to the local urgent care. He seemed to be fine so he went home later that night with some minor over the counter medications. However, the next morning, baby Logan could barely breathe. They called the doctor and he stressed they take him to the closest emergency room, which was in Edmonds, WA. The Edmonds hospital discovered that baby Logan had RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), and noticed he had a heart arrhythmia, so they performed an echo-cardiogram, and saw his left ventricle was enlarged and not pumping at 100%. ***(His heart was enlarged, and he was having extreme trouble breathing)
This is when it became very scary and emotional for the family, the paramedics had to transport baby Logan to Children's hospital to be placed in ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
Logan battled for 3 long weeks...
Thankfully, he has been home now for a couple weeks, and I am happy to say he is on the road to recovery. :)
As many of you know, the financial burden of spending 3 weeks in the hospital (especially an ICU) is beyond expensive, even with health care (about $200,000 +). Jen is a stay at home mother at the moment, and Brian is the sole provider. In addition, Brian spent most of those 3 weeks out of work to be by his baby boy's side.
Please help this awesome family get back on their feet, any contribution will help.
