Medical Bills for DJ

From DJ's Mom:

On Saturday December 30, Tricia went to wake DJ and he wouldn't respond. She called 911, and DJ was taken to the emergency room. While in the ER, he had a heart attack.  The paramedics did CPR for 20 minutes and finally got a pulse.  DJ was then taken to Utah Valley hospital and has been in the ICU since then.  He has kidney failure, his liver isnt functioning the way that it should. His heart is having problems, but they cant do an angiogram because the dye they use messes with the kidneys.  They started DJ on dialysis yesterday, hopefully it will "jumpstart" his kidneys but there is a chance that he will have to have dialysis the rest of his life.  Drs are still not sure what caused all of this.  No one is sure if these recent developments are related to a pre-exsisting disease called Dercums disease,  but all of these new things on top of the Dercums is heartbreaking, and will more than likely make recovery much slower, and much more painful. We dont know for sure how long DJ will be the ICU or how much time he will have to spend in another area of the hospital, but he will probably need to stay in a care facility for a time.

If you are looking for a scary read, follow the link below and read about Dercums Disease. You have probably never heard of it, most Drs have never heard of it.  DJ Hall was diagnosed with this disease in his early twenties.  It is very, very, very painful, it is also very rare and very debilitating.  DJ was active and loved sports, especially football.  He was strong and he had always been a hard worker. Since being diagnosed, his life has changed and he is now lucky if he can get out of bed for a couple of hours. He also might be the only person that you would ever meet that could put his whole fist in his mouth.

DJ is married to Tricia and they have two awesome boys, Desmond and Liam.

Because of the Dercums,DJ is on disability, Tricia is in school to be a radiology technician and works part time at a chiropractors office. They could really use help to get through this tough time.
