Medical bills can suck it

Hello All,
As most of you know Jennie went to the hospital on 6/19 for a surgery. She went home the 21st and three hours later was back in the hospital with a horrendous pain. Surgery complications resulted in a perforation in her stomach with blood leaking into her abdomen. She was in the hospital a total of 13 days . She was discharged and is still currently on home care. She was given a PICC line in the hospital and was receiving her nutrition thru the PICC line. She is no longer on the liquid nutrition, however she is still receiving home care until the Dr is confident the hole in her stomach has completely healed. The good news is the most recent CT scan shows the hole is closed and she can eat soft foods, but the Dr is still being cautious until she can eat solid foods comfortably.
Jennie has been on disability from work, She was only expecting to be out for a week or two at max. But it has since turned into 60 days so far. The disability is barely covering her rent, car and some utilities. She has been supplementing her bills with what she had in savings.
The medical bills have been piling up and will continue to do so until she is off the home nursing care. She has called the hospital and the Dr's to negotiate payment reductions and payment plans, but as of now she is looking at close to 10k .
She is trying to heal and get back to her life. The stress of the bills isn't something she really needs in her recovery.
She has an urgent need to pay her rent for September. There was a mis-communication between the short term disability company and her Dr's office so a recent claim was denied. It was corrected but it will affect the timely payment of her disability, hence her September rent payment and some other bills that are due 9/1/18.
If you don't want to contribute through Go Fund Me, gas cards, direct payment of the bills in question, PETCO/PetsMart gift cards, grocery store gift cards, would all be very help full. She just needs some help getting over the hump until she returns back to work and gets her full pay back.
I cannot say enough about my friend. If you know her, you know exactly what I am talking about. She is so kind. She would give you the shirt off her back along with her last 5 dollars. I have been wanting to do this Go Fund Me for her for about a month now but she has been a bit embarrassed and does not like to ask for help.
I want to see her back in the land of the living with her amazing smile and generous heart. Not with the stress of her debt from this horrible summer she has had.
I know she will be forever grateful.
