<div>Si eres parte de la Comunidad de Desarrollo Rural o de la academia agrícola en Honduras o incluso Centroamérica, probablemente escuchaste hablar de Raúl Zelaya, una persona amable, profesional y humilde que sirvió a miles de personas con sus ideas y enseñanzas. Egresó de Zamorano y simplemente amó y sirvió a esta universidad y sus propósitos. Muchos recuerdan su trato amable con los demás, sin importar su extracto social.

<div>Diabético durante muchos años, su estilo de trabajo intensivo desarrolló hipertensión arterial y finalmente, insuficiencia renal desde 2015, lo que lo dejó parcialmente imposibilitado. Empezó, entonces, una serie de pequeños negocios que demandaban mucha energía y recursos; El COVID 19 lo desmejoró considerablemente. Hacia fines de agosto de 2022 comenzó un rápido deterioro relacionado con sus tratamientos. Ahora sufre de una polineuropatía que lo ha inhabilitado permanentemente.

<div>If you are part of the Rural Development Community or the agricultural academy in Honduras Central America, you probably listened about Raúl Zelaya, A kind professional and humble person who served thousands of people with his ideas and teachings. He graduated from Zamorano and simply loved and served this university and its purposes. Many remember his kind treatment to others, no matter their social extract.

<div>Diabetic for many years, his intensive work style led him to develop high blood pressure and finally, kidney failure since 2015, which took him out of his job. He started a few of small business that demanded much energy and resources; and COVID 19 took a toll on his health. Towards the end of August 2022, a rapid deterioration began. He now suffers of a polyneuropathy which has disabled him permanently.
