Medical assistance needed from severe injuries

I have created this gofundme page for my dear friend and companion Pete Hyser. Pete was recently advised his left shoulder needs to be replaced and the surgery is scheduled for next week.
  Pete has an extensive history of injuries which include 23 back surgeries and procedures dating back to the 1990s, a devastating fall( 30 feet off a roof ) in 2005 which shattered both feet and left ankle, he has been in constant pain since the early 80’s. Pete is a roofing contractor both local and travels from VA. To Boston.
Pete has had many successful businesses throughout his working life, he is eager to recover, rehabilitate and regain his ability to work.

I met Pete while I was an orthopedic nurse after his fall. He was advised by some that he might not walk again. The surgeon and I knew he would recover. He is tenacious, has strong work ethic’s and desires to be independent.

He said is a son, brother, father and grandfather. He is a lifelong friend to many. He gives back by volunteering for the Philadelphia folk festival for 43 years and counting. The people at the folk festival our family to him. Pete is A giver who has found himself in a position of being the one that needs help financially. His medical bills will be astronomical and his recovery time is estimated at 4 to 6 months. Please consider helping Pete as he will be unable to work.
