Medical Assistance for Adaline

On Sunday, May 19th, my 17-year of daughter Adaline was injured in a shooting inside a music venue. She was hit in her upper right thigh. The bullet traveled down, under her knee and made an impact, fracturing her tibia. This caused the bullet to exit just under her knee on the inside of her leg. Four other teenagers were injured in the shooting and thankfully everyone survived.
Adaline will require extensive physical therapy to recover. The first stage is to get her home where she will need to use a wheelchair. Once she can apply pressure to her right foot, she can move to both a wheelchair and a walker. From the walker, she will move to crutches then hopefully back to normal unassisted movement.
The funds are not needed immediately but will be over the course of treatment during the following 4 to 6 months. These funds will be used to pay for her portions of the hospital bills, physical therapy, equipment to get our home ready for her such as wheelchair, walker, medical supplies, pain medication, and various other items required for home care.
We realize that everyone has a choice on how they choose to donate and that there are many others in greater need. If you choose to your money or your time to help my daughter and our family, we greatly appreciate it.
