Medical and Vet bills for Bria

I feel weird doing this...because 2020 has been a trying year for all of us. :( But between my unexpected stress fracture earlier this year and my cat Bria's unexpected illness, it's tough financially for my family and I on one income. For those of you who know me in real life (or even online), I'm studying to become a Registered Dietitian, so I have to complete a full-time unpaid internship for ~10 months to eligible for the licensure exam.  I'm so excited to enter my dream profession next year, but it makes funding multiple unexpected costs while an intern very challenging.  We adopted Bria from PAWS Chicago on April 26, 2020 and she is my first pet (Alex's 3rd pet). I didn't realize how much I like cats until I got her! She is 16 months and the friendliest cat you will ever meet. She loves everyone! And she has brought us both nothing, but happiness since her adoption day a few months ago! So it especially stinks to see her sick. :( We have to hospitalize Bria because something is wrong with her liver and hospitalization is not cheap, especially on top of her blood tests and x-rays that were over $500. I feel bad asking for help and am so grateful for any help any of you can provide. Thoughts and prayers welcome too!

We will provide any updates on Bria when we can. We are taking her to the hospital first.

Thanks,
Amanda and Alex
