<div>Sea Matias is a Farm School educator, Bronx community organizer, and the sole owner of Serra Vida Farm, a small-scale mutual-aid farm in the Western Catskills. In 2023, Sea founded Serra Vida and became a leader at West Branch Commons, a 287-acre community land trust for queer farmers of color in Delancey. They have pursued this work despite limited land access, chronic Lyme disease, and the impossible economics of small-scale farming.

<div>Recently, Sea was in a serious car accident. They now face unexpected medical expenses and no longer have a vehicle: an essential tool for farming, organizing, and simply surviving upstate.
