Medical and Funeral Expenses for Bowden
Dear friends and family of Caitlin Coleman-Hubert and Jeff Causey,
As you may already know, Caitlin and Jeff recently lost their beautiful youngest son, Bowden, in a sudden and unexplained tragedy. On Saturday March 8, two-year-old, Bowden, who appeared to be healthy, fell asleep for his nap. He did not wake up. Upon discovering that Bowden was unconscious, he was rushed to the ER. From there he was transported to the pediatric ICU in Tacoma where he remained in a coma for several days. Tests determined that during cardiac arrest Bowden had sustained brain damage so severe that he could not survive.
Bowden was surrounded by his loving family through his last days. He gave the gift of life to others through the donation of his organs. Bowden is survived by his parents, three older siblings: Tia, Tye, and Nova, and extended family members, who are all devastated by his loss.
This dear family is reeling from the death of their precious child while grappling with the unanswered question of, "what happened?". While answers are still being sought, there is currently no medical explanation as to why Bowden's vibrant life was cut short so abruptly.
Caitlin and Jeff thank their incredible community for the overwhelming love, positive energy, and heartfelt prayers while they were in the hospital fighting for Bowden’s life. Now they need our support more than ever. This family needs to be held in the love of their community as they move through this incredibly difficult time.
The gift of these funds will assist with medical expenses and alleviate concerns about the costs of living , thus offering the family time to grieve Bowden’s tremendous loss. Caitlin and Jeff will need all of their energy, and our support, to navigate their own grief while supporting Tia, Tye, and Nova in grieving the unfathomable loss of their little brother. Our goal is to lift this family up as they gradually begin to heal.
