Through the years, Jimmy Thomas has serviced his city as a Volunteer firefighter. He worked as an exterminator, a retail worker and as of recently a Truck Driver for over a decade. He worked hard to give back to others, but this last August, he suffered a massive heart attack while in Iowa. Thankfully he managed to pull over and call for help before it hit him. With the help of the paramedics and great doctors they worked fast and hard to keep him alive, despite the problems that kept coming. After finally being stable for a few days he was able to be released after almost two weeks of being in the hospital; and with the great kindness from his job they helped bring him home back to Texas. Where finally he could recover at home and work to get back on his feet. Sadly, it has proven more difficult than it sounds as he has been out of work since and his insurance was canceled because we couldn't afford to keep it active. Now with very little income as he is out if work and his wife who is also disabled, they have run through their life savings; they are struggling to pay the doctor bills, the car payment and normal household bills as well as medication. With the Grace of God and the kindness and support they have recieved from family, friends and strangers they have been holding on, but it's still a long road. We ask for donations to help relieve some of the hardships Jimmy and his family have been facing these passed few months. A little can go a long way even if it is just sharing.
