Stacey's Recovery Fund

Donation protected

On January 18th 2015, my oldest daughter Stacey was a victim of domestic violence. She was brutally attacked by the father of her children and left for dead. She was rushed to the hospital by ambulance with life threatening injuries and was unconscious for two days. She suffered 16 fractures to her face and had to have surgery to reconstruct her left eye socket and have four screws implanted to repair her broken jaw at KU Med. She will have another surgery at a later date once she is healed to finish repairing her broken nose and whatever else that has not healed properly on its own. She’s being referred to a neurologist from the continued side effects from the concussion she received. During the attack, he totaled her car, broke into her home, crushed her computer, and stole her phone along with various personal items. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her both mentally and physically thus won’t be able to work for several months.
Stacey is a 29 year old single mother of two beautiful children, Brody age 6 and Brynn age 4. She is determined to continue raising her children on her own in a normal environment even after such a tragic event. Her commitment is to make sure her children have love, stability and safety.

This is where I need your support and help. This is a very difficult and humbling thing for me to ask, as I am usually the one offering the assistance and taking care of everyone. But this time, I cannot do it all by myself or stand by and let her house go into foreclosure. Anything you can offer Stacey and her two children is more than appreciated and I will be forever grateful. All the donations will go towards Stacey and her children’s living expenses until she is able to get back on her feet, replace/repair the damages caused from the break-in and for medical bills that are not covered by insurance.

Our family is eternally grateful for all the prayers, positive thoughts, meals, flowers, cards, emotional and physical support. Without all of this kindness we could not have come this far; with your ongoing support and love, Stacey can get through the most difficult time of her life. The strength of a mother’s love and the hope made possible by a friend’s compassion can move mountains. Thank you in advance and may you be blessed tenfold by the amount your heart leads you to give.
