* update* If you know me you know that I never ask for anything, but today I must humble myself and ask for support, prayers and whatever donation you can give. My family was hit very hard by COVID-19. My mother, father, aunt, and uncle live together in the same house my parents adopted my aunt (my mother‘s younger sister) because she was mentally challenged. They are elderly, so they spent their time doing everything together. Almost 2 weeks ago my aunt passed away a couple of days later my uncle fell ill and had to be rushed to the hospital which landed him in the ICU with COVID-19. Shortly there after my dad ended up in the same situation. Both of them are now on life-support. There is nothing left to be done as their bodies are beginning to slowly shut down. My brother started experiencing breathing problems so I rushed him to the ER. His oxygen level had dropped from 95 to 71 in a matter of hours. He is still in the hospital fighting to recover. My half sister ended up in the ICU with pneumonia due to COVID-19. She is slowly getting better but we are thankful that she is at least showing signs of recovery. My mother tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently not showing any symptoms. We are keeping a close eye on her so things don’t get out of control. Out of my eight family members all eight tested positive and we don’t live under the same roof. Our family is not a stranger to tragedy. Last year we lost a brother. At the end of June we celebrated my brothers birthday at the cemetery. It was the saddest thing to see my mother and father breaking down, mourning the loss of their son. Three weeks later we are facing yet another immense tragedy. We have lost one family member and we have two family members on life-support. They are dying slowly, their lungs and kidneys shutting down. This is too much for my mom to deal with after losing her son only a year ago. And now she is losing her husband, younger sister, and her brother-in-law. We are being faced with a lot of medical bills and three funerals. No one is working because everyone has tested positive for the virus. We are unable to even go to finish the arrangements at the funeral home for my aunt because we are all still COVID positive I myself have been unable to work for the past two months. I’ve been donating everywhere trying to help people, but never thought that I would be the one asking for donations to help out my mother. This is too much for my mom to deal with. I want everyone to know that this virus is real and it’s affecting a lot of people. This virus is not like the flu. It is much worse when it hits you hard. Some people don’t really experience symptoms. Some people get hit hard and end up in the hospital. Please protect yourselves with a mask and know that this is a horrible virus that you might not even know you have. You may not show any symptoms, but you may be passing it on to others. Every family has members that are more prone to the virus. Out of eight of my family members all eight of us tested positive. I’ll proceeds will go to help pay medical bills which are mounting by the day and cover funeral expenses for three people. We also have to pay bills that are piling because no one is working or able to work. We will need to move my mother because she is now alone. Any donations helps, no matter how small, please keep my family in your prayers. We have a long road ahead of us. Thank you all in advance and please stay safe.
