Mechaneers Travel Fund

Hi, we are the Mechaneers, a first year robotics team from Hilo, Hawaii made up of six 4th and 5th graders who LOVE Robotics!

We have worked hard all year, and won the Teamwork Championship in our local Hilo league, qualified for the Hawaii State Championships where we placed seventh in the finals competing against teams from around the state, qualified for the CREATE US Open National Championship where we placed 7th in the finals facing off against teams from around the country, and now we have qualified to represent our town, state, and the U.S.A. in the World Championships in Kentucky from April 29 - May 1.

If you are able to, please help us cover some of the travel costs to Kentucky...any amount helps! Please visit the links below to learn more about us. Check out our YouTube video and read about us in the Hawaii Tribune-Herald! We have also mentored other teams in our town, and helped a local elementary school get their own robotics team started for the upcoming year. We want to inspire other Hawaii teams by showing them that with hard work and determination us local kids can compete against anybody in the world!

Thanks very much for your help and please spread the word! Mahalo!
