Mealz on Wheelz

This year has been a year full of lots of adventure and new things. At the start of the year I was asked to pioneer and lead the Bible Core Course here at Youth With A Mission, Newcastle for the next three years. I said yes and I’m so happy I did. When saying yes, I knew it was me deciding to put down roots here. As I thought through putting down roots, I decided that this year I really wanted to get a car. I have been a full-time volunteer with YWAM for over three years now and I feel it would help me to truly invest into my life here if I had a car. I have been praying throughout the year for one, and as the end of the year has come near I have been asking God how He wants to provide one. Initially I decided to just wait for Him to give me a car. When I didn’t receive one though, I thought, “maybe it’s just not the right time.” But this morning I was talking to God, and He reminded me of that fact that I wanted a car by the end of the year. This means a lot to me because He cares about this desire! He showed me that I didn’t want to truly take a step of faith to get one though. I was scared to ask people or put my need on social media because of what people would think. God hasn’t usually led me to do this, but in this situation I feel Him challenging me to humble myself and ask people. There’s only two days left of this year and I’m about to lead a school, so the timing doesn’t seem ideal. But I know my God. He works despite the circumstances. So, I’m putting my need out there and asking if you would be open to giving towards this. I would love a car and believe it would be a big blessing! I don’t believe being a missionary means living in poverty. I believe following God means life to the full and having your needs met!
