<div>We had a successful day on October 5th distributing our fresh meals to Black Mountain. In total the CAK team and volunteers made over 1200 burritos and sandwiches (chicken, tuna and vegetarian) along with 800 granola bars. Right now we are re-grouping with our next plan of action to help WNC in any capacity we can! We will update with our next plan!

<div>Here's the plan:

<div>Chef Kaegan (who also grew up in Asheville) has made connections with local folks in Black Mountain/Swannanoa Area on where to deliver and hand out food and supplies.
</div>
<div>On Friday morning: Chef Alyssa, Kaegan, chefs from our team, and other volunteers will be making as many pre-packaged meals as possible.
</div>

<div>We have a refrigerated truck headed to the Black Mountain/ Swannanoa area where Kaegan and her brother will set-up to distribute meals. We don't have a complete end-goal of how many meals but possibly as many as 1500 meals. We'll call it AMRAP (but as many meals as possible).

<div>Our food vendors have come through with many donations of product including US Foods, Inland Seafood and Cheney Brothers along with our CAK purchases. As we understand the amount of donations coming in, we'll be able to coordinate as many volunteers as possible to be here at Chef Alyssa's Kitchen cooking from 9am-5pm or until the truck is packed and ready to go! The truck will be on the road Saturday morning to be at the hand-out location which is BLACK MOUNTAIN MACHINE AND TOOL parking lot

<div>We have enough space for additional perishable and non-perishable supplies for anyone looking for a donation spot as well.

<div>Most importantly, we need all of our ingredients delivered to CAK by Thursday end of day from our suppliers. Once we have an idea of the donation amount, we'll know what to get! We will take donations of non-perishable items and supplies at the Chef Alyssa's Location (4001 Yancey Rd Charlotte N.C) until 5pm Friday.
