Meals to Feed Our Front Line Fighting COVID-19

OUR GOAL
The aim of Anacortes Strong is to show appreciation to our front line workers during this COVID-19 pandemic while also supporting local restaurants. Funds collected will provide a nourishing meal and demonstrate our community’s gratitude for their unwavering dedication to our town.
HOW IT HAPPENS
Meals will be purchased from local Anacortes restaurants, to be delivered to front line workers primarily at Island Hospital, Anacortes Fire and Anacortes Police. We estimate there are approximately 125 workers to feed on any given day at an average cost of $15 per meal. We aim to reach as many of these heroes once per week for as long as the pandemic lasts, with the added benefit of supporting our local restaurants and food suppliers.
We're proud to have the support of the Anacortes Chamber of Commerce. Our goal is to expand your generosity and encouragement to more essential workers including grocery staff and local care facilities.

Thank you for your generosity, Anacortes! We are a third of the way to the fundraising goal in a matter of just 2.5 days!
The transferring of funds from GoFundMe has started, and our first meals will go out later next week! Keep getting the word out! Our goal is to expand your generosity and encouragement to local care facilities as well as grocery staff.
