Senior Connections produces and delivers thousands of meals daily throughout Metro Atlanta to individuals, senior centers, adult day cares and senior residential living facilities.
They desperately need to replace the blast chillers/freezers. Blast chillers are used to rapidly cool down freshly cooked food and for storage of prepared meals. They control microbiological dangers such as bacterial multiplication and environmental contamination. During the last inspection it was recommended to replace both freezer systems. The age of the old systems prohibits repair of the units any further; unfortunately, there is no data on how much longer they will continue to work.
Your generous financial support will help provide nutritious home-delivered meals to those in Metro Atlanta who can no longer prepare meals for themselves, allowing them to remain living independently in their own homes.
