Meals for Medical Workers

Our mission is to support the hospital staff on the front lines of treating the Covid-19 pandemic by providing healthy food to sustain our courageous heroes. Thanks to your contributions, we have been able to deliver over 2,000 meals to 18 different units at Maimonides Medical Center, NYU Langone Health, Mount Sinai Hospital, Harlem Hospital, New York Presbyterian Queens, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Brooklyn Hospital Center, Weill-Cornell, Mount Sinai Beth Israel, Cobble Hill Health Center and Woodhull Hospital.
The individually wrapped meals are made and delivered by Barbalu (www.barbalu.com), a family-owned restaurant near the South Street Seaport. Co-owners Adriana Luque and Stefano Barbagallo, are no strangers to overcoming adversity. Their restaurant was completely destroyed during Hurricane Sandy but they chose to rebuild after the storm and were just getting back on their feet before the pandemic hit. By donating meals to the health care workers you will also help to support this small NYC business.
The more money we raise, the more days we are able to provide meals and the more hospitals we are able to serve. Thank you for any donation you can make!
