       We get it.  There are a lot of people helping to feed the Frontline, and it’s a fantastic gesture!! I don’t know about you, but this quote by that nurse  really hit home for me. I started thinking; How helpful is it to feed them food that could possibly have a long term affect on their own health?  Who is offering our most important people FRESH organic fruit, vegetables and healthy proteins?  Who’s looking out for their carb and sugar intake?  Who Is considerate of a gluten free, or vegetarian option? The a answer is US!!  The long hours and stressful moments our front line workers endure require a nutritious regiment to stay strong  and on point.

As you know, Louisiana  has become heavy hit in this national war against the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). From (but not limited to)  hospital custodians and maintenance workers to virologists and nurses, the staffs of our area hospitals,  firefighters, law enforcement agencies,  news stations,  postal workers,  local sanitation and waste companies etc. They are in an epic battle the likes of which hasn’t been seen in a century.

With your support our goal is to deliver 2000+ high quality, nutritious, meals to boost their energy and morale!  Your donation provides a fresh, 3 course, cooked-from-scratch meals with locally farmed ingredients to frontline workers in Central Louisiana. 

We are Good People Kitchen.  A family owned, local restaurant operated by Kate and Misha Dickey.  We have been dedicated to serving good health and good food to our community since 2014.  





With all Louisiana restaurants and businesses  limited by this outbreak, Good People Kitchen ha s joined the  COVID-19 war by preparing signature meals for those on the front line of patient care, public safety,  and critical sanitation.

Your donation— small or large — will not only help "Make the Day!" for many exhausted frontline workers, it will also provide powerful and meaningful work to the employees and families of  Good People Kitchen, Your Donations will also support Regional Food Producers and Local Businesses.

Your Donation works 3-fold:
1. Feeds the people fighting to save our communities.
2. Keeps the staff, lights, and ovens running at Good People Kitchen. 
3. Helps struggling local businesses and farms with desperately needed cash flow.




Prepared meals will vary based on availability from our local and regional resources.  They will be inspired by making use of local resources, but more importantly, our first initiative will be buying items such as mushrooms, proteins, eggs, and vegetables from the local network of small artisanal producers as well as dessert and food items from other local restaurants and shops.   These folks have been, and will be massively impacted by the closure of farmer’s markets and restaurants-- their normal sales outlets— that normally support local agriculture.  

Help contribute to our effort to care for our hospital  and frontline workers who are bearing the brunt of the battle and the hard-working folks who have forged to  protect the Louisiana Spirit!! We are all united by your contributions during this once-in-a-lifetime crisis.
