Meaghan's Fight to Recovery

For all of you that know Meaghan, she’s a warrior mother, a dedicated friend, a sister with a tremendous heart, and a daughter filled with incredible strength!
Over the last 2 months, a super-aggressive phyllodes tumor tried to take over Meaghan's right breast. After multiple trips to the ER and numerous fevers that spiked over 103, the pain was unbearable! Fortunately, her surgeon was proactive and was able to get Meaghan admitted to the hospital a week prior to her scheduled surgery.
On March 8th, Meaghan received a mastectomy of her right breast. The operation lasted 2 1/2 hours and the surgeon removed a basketball-sized tumor, which measured 30cm and weighed over 10 pounds!
Unfortunately, Meaghan received the news this week that her tumor was in fact malignant. Cancer. She will undergo radiation over the next 6 weeks as chemotherapy doesn’t respond to her type of tumor.
To make matters worse, she has a second tumor in her left breast.
Meaghan's road ahead is filled with uncertainty; however, our faith STILL stands! We all know that Meaghan is a fighter - a fighter for herself and also for her 2 year old daughter. When her strength fights against her in the coming weeks, her community will remain STRONG.
Currently, Meaghan will be off work several weeks to allow her to recover from surgery. Depending on her strength, she will be working intermittently through radiation. Then, Meaghan will have reconstructive surgery which will have a recovery time of another 6 weeks.
