Meadowood Music's Wonderful Teachers

Because we and the teachers at Meadowood Music are self-employed, none of us are eligible for unemployment insurance, and the forced closure of our studios leaves everyone here without any income or compensation for lost income.

Meadowood's teachers serve approximately 200 students every week.  Some of the teachers have relatively few students and rely on the income to supplement their primary source of money, while several rely completely on teaching for their livelihoods. We plan to do what we can to soften the blow, but can't come anywhere close to making our teachers whole without your help. Every $25 donation made in this campaign replaces one lost lesson fee.

We plan to distribute the money that this campaign raises in a way that is proportionate to the size of the teachers' studios (e.g., payment to teachers with 50 students will be ten times that of teachers with 5). We will distribute funds to teachers as soon as the campaign generates enough to justify distribution.

We realize that we make this request at the same time everyone else is facing fallout from the spread of COVID-19, and understand if you cannot contribute to this fund. If you are among the fortunate, less impacted individuals among us, please consider making a donation in whatever amount you can.
