<div>Hi, my name is Cecilie. I’m a professional MMA fighter, and in my last fight I injured my knee so severely that I lost my world championship title.
</div>
<div>It was a tough moment, but also the beginning of a new journey.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What Actually Happened</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>During the fight I suffered a complete knee injury:
</div>
<ul>
<li>My ACL – the main stabilizer, is completely torn.
</li>
<li>Both my inner and outer side ligaments are torn.
</li>
<li>My medial meniscus has ripped away from the joint capsule.
</li>
<li>My lateral meniscus has a complex tear, with a piece that has moved out of place.
</li>
<li>On top of that, there’s cartilage damage, fluid build-up and a large hematoma.
</li>
</ul>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This means I’m facing a longer and tougher recovery process than I first thought.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Why I Need Support</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’m starting this fundraiser because many of you have already reached out and asked how you can help. Something that warms my heart more than I can put into words.
</div>
<div>And to be brutally honest: I need the help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>For the past year and a half, MMA fights have been my only source of income. MMA is my job, but because the sport is illegal in Norway, I don’t have access to insurance like other athletes do, and I don’t have sponsors covering me.
</div>
<div>That means all costs for surgery, specialists, physiotherapy and rehab must be paid completely out of my own pocket. At least that’s the situation right now.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What This Is About</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>My goal is clear: I will come back stronger, and I will reclaim the title in Oktagon.
</div>
<div>But to make that happen, I need to dedicate this time to treatment, rehab and smart training. Without the added stress of worrying about finances.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>What 150,000 NOK Will Cover</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Surgery &amp; specialists: 80,000 NOK
</div>
<div>Physiotherapy &amp; follow-ups: 15,000 NOK
</div>
<div>Rehab equipment &amp; recovery: 15,000 NOK
</div>
<div>Living costs: 40,000 NOK
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As you can imagine, the next year will cost me more than 150,000 NOK, but to be honest, I can’t ask for more. I’m already looking into finding other jobs while I work my way back. But 150,000 NOK will give me the financial support I need for surgery, follow-ups, and 4–5 months of living expenses covered. Which gives me a much better outlook on my comeback.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><strong>Together Towards the Comeback</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I’ve always seen my fights as more than just sport. When I step into the cage, I never walk in alone. I carry everyone who believes in me.
</div>
<div>With your support now, you’ll be part of the journey back. I promise to be open and honest, sharing updates along the way on my IG. From my first steps on crutches to the moment I step back into the cage to fight for the title.
</div>
<div>This is a tough road, but I believe in it. And with you guys by my side, I know it’s possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Please write your name or nickname with your contribution. I want to make a big banner with all your names on it for the next time I walk into the cage.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Let’s get to work, gang! ❤️
