<div>Über eineinhalb Jahre war Amélie vollständig isoliert – ohne Kontakt zur Außenwelt, zu Freunden oder Familie.

<div>Sie war zu schwach, um zu sprechen, zu essen oder zu trinken, und konnte weder Licht, Geräusche noch Berührungen ertragen. Ihre Schmerzen waren teilweise unerträglich, begleitet von starkem Herzrasen. Ihr Zustand war kritisch.

<div>Aufgrund ihrer extremen Reizempfindlichkeit lebt sie in einem völlig abgedunkelten, geräuschisolierten Zimmer – bettlägerig und stark geschwächt. Jede zusätzliche Reizbelastung oder noch so kleine Anstrengung verschlechterte lange Zeit ihren Zustand.

<div>Für Außenstehende kaum vorstellbar – für Amélie bittere Realität.

<div>Ihre Mutter, die zuvor voll im Berufsleben stand, musste ihren Beruf aufgeben, um rund um die Uhr für Amélie da zu sein und ihre gesamte Versorgung zu übernehmen.

<div>Heute gibt es erste hoffnungsvolle Fortschritte: Wir sind auf ein Heilprogramm gestoßen, das Amélie zu helfen scheint – auch wenn es mit hohen monatlichen Kosten verbunden ist.

<div>Die Schmerzen haben sich gebessert, Amélie kann wieder sprechen, sich im Bett etwas bewegen, Berührungen teilweise zulassen – und sogar wieder lachen.

<div>Nach so langer Zeit ist nun auch wieder eingeschränkter Kontakt zur Familie möglich: Über ihr Handy kann sie sich manchmal austauschen. Ein besonderer Moment war, als ihr Vater sie nach fast einem Jahr wiedersehen konnte – für beide sehr emotional und von unschätzbarem Wert.

<div>Trotz dieser Fortschritte ist Amélie noch immer vollständig auf Pflege angewiesen, lebt weiterhin im Dunkeln und kann das Bett nicht verlassen. Doch ihre Entschlossenheit, ins Leben zurückzufinden, berührt zutiefst.

<div>Über eineinhalb Jahre hat die Familie – trotz fehlender Arbeit der Mutter und ohne Unterstützung von Staat oder Krankenkasse – alle finanziellen Ausgaben selbst getragen.

</div>

<div>Nun gehen die Mittel aus, um Amélies spezielle Ernährung und vor allem die begonnene Therapie fortzusetzen.

</div>

<div>Jede Spende fließt direkt in ihre schonende medizinische Versorgung, eine individuell abgestimmte Ernährung und vor allem in das Therapieprogramm, das ihr bereits spürbar geholfen hat und weitere Fortschritte ermöglicht.

<div>Amélie is 19 years old – a young woman full of courage, strength, joy for life, and plans for the future.
But since a COVID infection at the end of 2022, her life has changed dramatically.

For more than a year and a half, Amélie was completely isolated – with no contact with the outside world, friends, or family.
She was too weak to speak, eat, or drink, and could not tolerate light, sound, or touch. Her pain was at times unbearable, accompanied by severe heart palpitations. Her condition was critical.

Because of her extreme sensitivity to stimuli, she lives in a completely darkened, soundproof room – bedridden and severely weakened. For a long time, any additional stimulus or even the smallest effort would worsen her condition.
Almost unimaginable for outsiders – but bitter reality for Amélie.

Her mother, who had previously been fully employed, had to give up her job to care for Amélie around the clock and take over all of her daily needs.

Today, there are the first hopeful signs of progress: we have discovered a healing program that seems to be helping Amélie – even though it comes with high monthly costs.
Her pain has eased, Amélie can speak again, move a little in bed, allow some touch – and even laugh again.

After so much time, limited contact with family is now possible again: through her phone, she can sometimes exchange messages.
A particularly special moment was when her father was able to see her again after almost a year – an emotional and priceless experience for both of them.

Despite this progress, Amélie is still completely dependent on care, continues to live in darkness, and cannot leave her bed. Yet her determination to return to life is deeply moving.

For more than a year and a half, the family – despite the mother’s inability to work and without any support from the state or health insurance – has borne all the financial costs themselves.
Now the funds are running out to continue Amélie’s special nutrition and, most importantly, the therapy that has already made a noticeable difference.

Every donation goes directly to her gentle medical care, her individually tailored nutrition, and especially the therapy program that has already helped her and is enabling further progress.
The donations are not used to cover general living expenses but are solely dedicated to her recovery.
