Ronnie's Liver Transplant

Ronnie Harrison is 41 years old from Salem, AL and in desperate need of liver transplant.  Ronnie has always been a ray of sunshine to his family and friends.  His laughter is contagious, and everyone wants to be around him.  Ronnie is always positive and encourages others.  On April 3rd, he and his mom were rushed to the emergency room at Piedmont Hospital in Columbus, GA by his dad and sister. He began the fight for his life that day after testing positive for COVID-19, pneumonia, and asthma.  Ronnie spent 120 days in ICU.  During this time, he was unable to work and has no insurance.  He was not offered rehab after his long hospital stay.  A friend was able to advocate to get him 10 days of inpatient rehab which was helpful; however, the fight is far from over.

Within the past two weeks, Ronnie continues to need emergency health care.  Due to the extreme changes in lab results, and weakened state, he will require a liver transplant as soon as possible.  His dad has been forced to retire in order to assist with doctor's appointments and emergency room trips, causing their family to lose health insurance and make it nearly impossible to get a transplant or proper health care .  On top of all of the medical issues, Ronnie and his family live in a rural area that leaves them with zero internet access, leaving them isolated during such a difficult time.  As Ronnie's 42nd birthday approaches on November 27th, we are hoping to get the donations and medical assistance he needs to celebrate this birthday and many more.  Any financial support you can give will ensure that Ronnie and his vibrant personality will continue to bless others for years to come .  We thank you for your donations and support! #liver4ronnie
