My name is Michael Kennedy. As many of you know, my parents are Mike and Chelene Kennedy, missionaries to Peru, where I had the privilege of growing up on the mission field. I am a junior at Liberty University and am studying Psychology & Counseling, with a minor in studio art, and have an amazing ministry opportunity coming up next semester through Liberty.
I have the opportunity during Spring Break of 2018, March 15-25, to go on a missions trip with Liberty University to Rwanda, Africa. On our trip we will be working specifically with orphans through Compassion International, visiting the Genocide Museum, working and engaging in the local communities, open air missions, among other things--What a chance to minister to others! This trip will also count as my required internship for my Psychology Degree.
I am excited about what God is going to do in my life and in other people’s lives through this trip next year. I do, however, need your help. We will be flying from Washington DC to our final destination in Rwanda and will be spending our days in learning and serving in the communities we visit. This is an amazing opportunity and I am so excited about the experiences that lie ahead. I hope you see the value in what we will accomplish.
As you can imagine, a trip like this requires financial support from a number of people. I need to raise $3,550.00 by 2/28/18 in order to go on the trip. I would be very grateful for any financial support you are able to give, as this is an important part of the process.
While money is important, it comes in a distant second to my need for your prayer support. Prayer is the fuel that will allow us to be successful as we follow God’s leading in ministering in this country. Without prayer, nothing will happen. Since prayer support is so important to the success of this mission, I would like to know if I can count on you in that area.
