Operation Lynsey

Donation protected
Meet Lynsey Hottle.  She  is 4 months old and was born October 2, 2014.  To say she is beautiful and perfect is an understatement.  However, she does have some challenges.  She was born with Townes–Brocks syndrome, a rare genetic disorder, which can manifest itself in various abnormalities and can range from minor to severe.
Thus far Lynsey has been diagnosed with developmental delays, moderate VSD (hole in her heart), vesicoutereral reflux (kidneys) and a tethered spinal cord.  Treatment and management strategies are designed to improve particular signs and symptoms with the disorder.  She was born with an extra thumb which has already been removed.
However, Lynsey's most critical need right now is surgical intervention for her imperforate anus.  Through a miracle, Lynsey's mom and dad, Ashley and Gary, came in contact with one of the best doctors in the country who specialize in this surgery.  Dr. Shumyle Alam specializes in pediatric urology and is affiliated with the Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital in New York.  (It helps when one of your regular pediatricians is Dr. Alam's mother!)  Ashley, Gary and Lynsey will travel to New York for a consultation on March 20, 2015 with surgery scheduled on March 24.  Lynsey will then be in the hospital for 7-14 post op.
Ashley and Gary have had to make major adjustments in their life and schedules.  Ashley works for the Federal Government and has exhausted all her leave and has even had to take leave without pay.  Gary has had to adjust his schedule to working evenings so he can care for Lynsey during the day.  In addition to Lynsey, Ashley and Gary also have a 2-1/2 year old daughter to care for and Gary has a teenage daughter as well.  As you see, Lynsey's medical needs and care have created a financial hardship.
First and foremost, Ashley and Gary would covet your prayers.  Please pray for wisdom and guidance as they seek what is best for Lynsey.  Pray for the doctors' knowledge and clear understanding of Lynsey's medical needs and her treatment.  And if you feel led to do so, please make a contribution to help with the first go around of medical expenses.  No donation is too small.
Below is a breakdown of expenses for this particular trip and surgery.  Thank you for your prayers and generosity.
