McNair Jr. High Instrument Repair

Hi, my name is Stephen Six, and I am blessed to be the band director at McNair Jr. High School.

Although our school has only 7th and 8th-grade students, our band program boasts more than 100 kids. Unfortunately, we do not have enough working instruments in our inventory to allow the students to have their own instrument. As a Title-I school, many families cannot afford to purchase an instrument for their child. As a result, the kids are forced to share the same instruments from class to class and disinfect between players. This also means that students cannot practice at home because they are sharing the same instrument with up to five other students.

The good news is we have many instruments in the inventory that simply need to be repaired. Now all I need is money to repair these instruments so I can get them into the hands of the students as quickly as possible! While the majority of funds raised will go toward instrument repair, some will also go toward purchasing music binders, repertoire, and other accessories for our band classroom. It is my firm belief that every child should have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument no matter what school they attend. Help me make that a reality at McNair! Any small donation helps.
