McMullen Family Medical Fund

On May 31, 2017 the McMullens: Nikki (Briana), Currie, Madison(12) and Weston(5) found out they would be welcoming twins into their family! Exciting news right?! However, at one of her check ups Nikki found out that her twin boys were suffering from Twin To Twin Transfusion Syndrome. TTTS is a condition of the placenta that affects identical twin pregnancies in which the donor twin suffers from decreased blood flow. At just 24 weeks pregnant on September 22, Nikki was sent to Houston, Texas for treatment of the TTTS. On September 23, Nikki underwent a very dangerous surgery with hopes to correct the TTTS. Both Nikki and the boys made it through surgery safely. However, on September 24, 2017 baby B (Thomas Cole) was called to his Heavenly home to be with Jesus. His job here was done, he had saved his brother! At present, Nikki and Baby A (Philip Cade) are doing great. However, Nikki must remain in the hospital until Cade makes his grand entrance. This could be weeks or even months as her due date is January 7, 2018 and he needs to continue to grow as long as possible. In order to be closer to her husband, two other children and the rest of her family Nikki needs to transfer back to Mobile, AL via ambulance. This, as well as other medical, food, travel and housing expenses quickly adds up. With Nikki's permission I have created this page so that we can help them with this financial burden.
